Prayers for my Mum...

To all those who pray, or whatever you might do, can you please have my Mum in your prayers, thoughts etc, today and tomorrow...

Mum is going back into hospital for an elective surgery to try and fix a few things that haven't healed properly from her ordeal in June.

So its a kinda scary thing, after what happened last time. I know how *freak* that accident was then, but I just ask you pray for guidance and direction for the surgeons, and that Mum feels the awesome power of God and His comfort and angels around her as she goes into hospital today.

Would also love you to consider my Dad especially and my family in your prayers. Dad was very stressed out last time, and I can only imagine how he must be feeling deep down this time (although he hasn't let anything on to Mum, which is probably good)... probably a little scared... so I just ask for God's angels to wrap their arms around him too, and for him to feel peace.

And my little sis is home now. She was away for everything that happened last time.. so I just ask for prayers for her too...

Nat xx

I'll be thinking and praying for you all. The good thing is your sister is home and you can be all together :)

Yep..I will be praying for you and your family Nat. I can only imagine how your mum and dad would be feeling. I would be a bit nervous too. I will pray for God's peace, comfort and healing..and also for the surgeons that He will guide their hands and give them wisdom.
Rest in the Lord Nat..He knows what He is doing.

Hope everything goes well for your mum... I'm sure God will be looking out for all of you ;)

Thanks for your note, and sorry to take so LONG to reply - my son is cutting his third tooth and... well, I'm sure you know how that goes!

I am hoping to write a review of the Valco playpen for my site soon, and I will let you know when I (finally) get it posted... in the meantime, I just wanted to say it IS fantastic - expensive but it's been worth every cent - easy to care for and VERY sturdy - David now uses it to help him stand up, and he peers over the side very happily - it should last for years AND a number of babies!!! The mesh means he feels like he is part of everything going on outside, without being 'behind bars'. There is enough room in there for a couple of kids - or (in our case) one bubby and mummy & daddy can climb in as well without being cramped. I read below that you went with a cheaper solution for the moment (understandably) but just wanted to let you know that I have no problems recommending the Valco! (Oh... We got ours from Baby's Galore - can't remember exact price but around $250, and they took about $20 off when I asked if that was the best price they could do...)

PS. my sister is due for her second bubby sometime in July (I think) as well ;D (This is her blog: http://memoryschild.blogspot.com/)

Hi Nat,

thanks for your comments :) I posted another update today, and will get to the Valco review soon...

to answer your questions, no he hasn't bitten the boob that feeds him yet ;P but he does seem to have an excellent ability to kneel or stand on it if I don't put it away when he wants to stop and play in the middle of a feed! (I always feed him lying down as it is the most comfortable way to manage a heavy boob and heavy baby!) He has been a bit sick this week, so my husband has had the bed to himself, most of the time - David won't let me leave his! at least there's plenty of room for us both... lol... he was really good about sleeping through the night when he was younger, I am hoping he relearns that now he is in a bed by himself again!
