Happy Birthday Baby!!

A big Happy 26th Birthday to my man today!

Love this guy! And here's a few reasons why (I'll have to show him for extra brownie points too huh):

* He always says how much he loves me and says I'm beautiful. Always makes me feel good about myself :)

* He works very hard and very long hours to make money and take care of this family.

* He has a quirky sense of humour and makes me laugh.

* He loves his family and his kids and I know he does the best he knows how to do!

* Did I mention how hard he works for this family!? I really appreciate that!

* He loves the Lord and tries to serve him to the best of his abilities.

* He loves many of the same things I love doing - laughing, being with friends, playing games etc.

* He makes cute babies :D

* And most important of all, he has a CUTE BUTT. hee hee hee

Love you baby! Have a great day!!

Balloons

Good morning!

While we were pottering around
this morning about 6.30am I heard a really strange sound like a - well I don't know what - and we went outside to investigate, where we saw right above our house, these!

By the time we said Wow and I ran to get the camera, they'd moved, so I ran back to get the zoom lens and got these pics. They must have been right over our house when I first heard them! Jaidyn and I have both never seen a balloon this close to us!

Anyway, thankyou everyone for all your comments on my last post. Lol, I didn't know I had so many visitors still, gee, my blog must be pretty boring otherwise for no-one to want to comment, lol. Please do!

Well, today we are up early again, and for once, I've done most of my housework (well what I'm actually going to do today!) done already. So we will actually get to the shops on time this morning I imagine! Going to exchange some Chrissie pressies, and pick up Greg something little for his b'day tomorrow (have already got him a bar fridge with his parents).

The I'm taking the boys to Currimundi Beach after lunch with some friends from church. Should be a good afternoon, so I'll try to get some pics too. Haven't got any of Eli at a beach yet, although we did take him on our overcast holiday a couple of months ago.

Not sure what we're doing for New Years yet - if anything! Its Greg's b'day so cooking bacon and eggs for breaky, yumm.... and he wants to sleep in so we might skip church this week too, have a really nice lazy day.

Hope you all have a happy Saturday and New Years too, whatever you do!

Success

Why does 'being successful' seem to depend on what job you have or how much money you make?
Or if you own a house or a nice car?
And how does/did the enemy make me feel like I'm not successful because I don't have these things? (nasty piece of work)

I was at my grandparents yesterday and Aunt and Uncle and Mum and Dad chatted about all us kids - and other cousins too -what we're doing with our lives etc. And somehow in it all, I started feeling that what I do and how I've chosen to have kids first and all that, well that its not as 'good' as maybe what my cousins are doing by having a good-paying job and buying houses etc.. don't you just love it how the devil seems to make us feel crap. don't worry, God got in my ear pretty quick and affirmed my life choices - ultimately because I have life in Him! - and it made me think why I AM successful!! So here goes:

I am successful because I finished a degree, while mostly a single mum, trying to support myself and my son!

I am successful because I moved out young and have supported myself and my son well.

I am successful because I have a great marriage.

I am successful because I have two great kids and I enjoy my time with them, and they fill my life with joy.

I am successful because I have deep friendships with people that care very much about me and my family.

I am successful because I have a ministry and I am a leader in my church.

I am successful because I have good relationships with my family members.

I am successful because I enjoy a hobby and do it well (when I do).

And most of all, I am successful because I have a relationship with Jesus Christ, He lives inside me. He provides all my needs, and at the end of time, I will not be able to take my job, money, house with me to Heaven, but will be judged on the difference I made on earth in people and in the Kingdom of God, and hopefully I will hear my God say 'Well done, good and faithful servant'....

So there! I am successful! And mostly through Christ my Lord!

Happy Christmas!

So I hope you all had a wonderful, blessed and very fun day yesterday for Christmas Day, celebrating the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ!

Mine was crazy, but wonderful all the same! (being pregnant I was double tired!)

Elijah's first Christmas and what an exciting time. Unfortunately he went back to bed right in the middle of opening presents, poor little tike couldn't keep his little eyes open any longer, but he did get to 'open' a couple of gifts first (and we opened the others, he is only 7 months anyway). Did manage to get a few cute pics of him throughout the day - in all his presents having a grea time - mainly with the paper - and in his custom-fixed (paperclip job) christmas hat! so cute!

We all got spoilt! My gorgeous husband bought me a beautiful big cross necklace with cubic zirconias in it (he said he could have got diamonds but the cross was so small, but I'm happy with this gorgeous one I have!) He even hid it in a ultrasonic jewelery cleaner he got to go with it - and to clean my rings and glasses too. From my babies I got a bottle of perfume - Still by JLo. I haven't had a real perfume in ages, so its nice to feel pampered! I also got another perfume - Echo Woman - from my sisters. And some clothes, shoes, books - what else could a girl want for Christmas I say! Thoroughly spoilt rotten by my beautiful family :)

We started at church, and I did the christmas message this year. First time I've really done anything like that but I stayed in my comfort zone and did a kids story that the adults enjoyed too :) Apparently I did ok, so I'm glad of that!

We had a great lunch and afternoon at my parents house. My sister and her boyfriend were slaving away in the kitchen from 8am cooking a yummy roast turkey and many other treats. Always eat so much on Christmas! Unfortunately I was sick last Friday so I don't think I (my stomach!) was quite back to my normal self, so didn't eat as much as I might have normally - which is probably a good thing!

As a first ever for me, we spent the evening with friends! We took the long walk a few houses down the street to our friends Marty and Melinda's and just had a chill-out relazing evening, a few left-overs and great company. I bought Greg the game Cranium so we played a round of that too. The kids had a ball playing around and Jai wa still wide awake at 10.30pm when we came home - sooo late for him - needless to say he slept in till 7:40am this morning!

This afternoon we are having friends around for a relaxing BBQ and games afternoon! So I better shoot off and clean this dump up!

Merry Christmas to you all!

Been a while...

Well, its been a couple of weeks since I blogged. Been a bit busy chaotic around here, and then wasn't sure what to really blog about, so just didn't bother!

Week before Christmas craziness happening here. Have still got a fair bit of Christmas shopping to do - hopefully a bit today and the rest tomorrow. Still have Greg, Elijah, my two sisters, and grandparents to buy for. Usually just give the grandparents something photo-related, but I don't have my family photo yet, so not sure I'll be able to do anything there. (Deb, if you're reading, do you have time to email me that pic pretty please??)

School holidays have started well here. On Monday took Jaidyn to the movies with a girlfriend down the street and her 4 kids... was an interesting morning getting kids in and out of cars, forgetting Eli's bottle, so having to occupy him other ways till the movie finished. He was fairly well-behaved considering. We went to see 'Open Season'. Pretty good, but not high on my fave kids movies really. The kids all enjoyed it though - even Eli was quite enthralled by the big screen - he seems to like TV - must be just like his brother there...

Jai has a couple of sleep-overs at his grandparents this week, going to the airport to pick up my grandmother who will be down for Christmas, he's got a b'day party this morning and going to Vacation Care tomorrow to do some christmas cooking. He'll be exhausted by the weekend and hopefully I will have had enough time to myself to finish the christmas shopping!

Mum's been back in hospital again, but cam out yesterday. This time it was an infection (absys) which may have come up from the last op, but its all good now, and she's just gotta wait the time it all takes to heal now.

Am off to get my hair done this arvo. Definitely needs something before Christmas. Not sure if I'll get anything overly different though. Am trying a new girl at the salon - a friend of a friend who also has curly hair and says she does a good job, and she's much cheaper coz she's just finished her apprenticeship I think. So we'll see how she goes.... and hope it still looks decent! Oh, and some nice clean eyebrows too! Will be looking all smashing (well as much as possible) for my christmas photos.

Elijah is growing up so fast. He's well and truly getting around now. Not really crawling 'properly' yet, but he moves alright, especially if he's got his mind on reaching something in particular - usually something he shouldn't be into!
He is also starting to sit up this week. He's done this all on his own, so we're happy that he's starting, as everyone has been saying he's doing it all backwards - as long as he does it right! He does a lot of standing on his feet, well straightening his legs, when he's on all fours - sticking his cute little butt in the air, hehe... so cute!!

Well, will try to upload some pics later maybe. Don't have a lot, but a couple. Tried to take a photo shoot of the boys last week, which was mainly a flop. but hopefully I can get at least one half-decent one out of them...

Off to get showered and ready to take Jaidyn to his friend's party - and buy a gift on the way, oops...

Random catch-up

Well I have lots of little things to say so I'll just do it in dot-form I think.

* Thanks for the prayers and well wishes for my Mum. The op went really well, better than expected I think, and she's slowly recovering in hospital. She's quite happy that she got a little tummy tuck out of this too (they pulled her skin/fat over the wound and joined it to the other side - no more hole in her stomach I assume). will appreciate ongoing prayers for recovery, thanks.

* Poor hubby has had a dreadfully long week. His assistand manager (Greg is manager) resigned on Monday, so he's had to try to cover 50 hours in the store. Instead of 50 hours, he's done about 70 this week and he's SO EXHAUSTED!! So he'll be sleeping and lazing around most of today no doubt... still gonna try to get him to church though. And I hope the next coming weeks (still with no assistant manager - AND this close to Christmas) are not as bad for him. The poor dear. He already works so hard.

* We went to the local Christmas Carols last night. Love em! We almost didn't go, as Greg didn't want to (after working 70 hours) and I was not so happy going without my hubby, but he changed his mind and we trundled down there with our candles in cups and Jaidyn wearing a Santa Hat and Eli wearing (sometimes) some reindeer ears).... and had a good time. I just love Christmas carols, so I'm so glad we went. As its organised by the local churches, there's a great emphasis on the birth of Jesus still, so that was so good to see - and a small message from one of the pastors about Christ, what he meant to the world and how easy it is to give our hearts to Him. Greg spent the evening pouring hot wax onto his finger tho, to make a 'finger glove' - someting he said he used to do when he was a kid, but still, he was there.... lol... teaching all the children how to pour hot wax onto your hands - thanks Greg!

* Had a big storm here last week and it whipped up so fast all the windows and doors were still open. Needless to say, the computer got wet, and the keyboard is stuffed. (I'm using the mac right now) I think Greg trundled down to find the old keyboard off my old computer, so hopefully we won't have to buy a new one this close to Xmas when there's not exactly any money!!

* Had a nice day yesterday scrapping with Sarah, one of the SOF girl's daughters (my age almost) who came to the big crop we had in Bris in Sept. It was great to have a good girly chat about lots of stuff, and we even got a bit of scrapping done. I didn't finish mine of course, so that will be a challenge in itself to do this week! I do like this one though so want to get it all done!

* Trying to organise a street christmas party this year. We have friends from church in our street so together we're inviting the street down to the park at the bottom of our street for a quick and easy sausage sizzle and iceblocks (provided). hopefully we'll get a few of the street people come along so we can meet them all - have only met a couple of ppl so far and would like to make it more.

* Just last night realised there's only 3 weeks till Christmas... eek.... and we have a fair few presents that need to be POSTED... so I have to get my butt into gear this week and get these ones away!

* Need to take some more photos of my boys. Haven't taken any of Eli in about a month so need to do that.... and I was thinking, with their Santa Hat and reindeer antlers, a good excuse!!

* Putting the Xmas tree up this arvo - yay! Hoping Greg can put pur icicle lights up on the verandah too... last year we had them on the edge of the roof, but without owning a ladder ,they stayed there till March, so we're thinking somewhere more accessible this year.

* Eli is very nearly crawling! He is 'caterpillaring' along the floor, slowly, but he does get there. He hasn't quite got the idea that he has to move his hands at alternate times, so he gets up on his knees then moves forward onto his belly to move a bit further along the floor. Or sometimes he just slides along the floor. I'm sure he'll get the hang of his hands soon enough.

* He's also started making a really cute 'kissy' noise this week. He kinda sucks on his tongue a bit I think, but I'm trying to associate it with kisses for him. So I say "kiss?" and do a proper kissy noise, or just imitate what he's doing to try to get him to do it again. He does it all the time, but with all the hours Greg's been doing this week, he hasn't seen it yet - hopefully he'll have a few 'kisses' for his daddy today.

* Ooh, got Kim Archer's Christmas Extravaganza this week - yay! Can't wait to see what she has in store for us :) Hopefully I'll get a few little gift ideas out of it.

Think that's quite enough. If you made it to the end, good for you! Happy Sunday :) :)

5 Things that make me happy today:
1. That Mum's operation went well - and that God is working in her body right now!!
2. Its Sunday! Love Sundays :)
3. Christmas Carols :) Love the traditions of Christmas...
4. Greg is finally home to spend some time with us today :) If he doesn't sleep most of it
5. I'm cooking a ROAST tonight - now that hasn't been done in years!! Wish me luck :)

Prayers for my Mum...

To all those who pray, or whatever you might do, can you please have my Mum in your prayers, thoughts etc, today and tomorrow...

Mum is going back into hospital for an elective surgery to try and fix a few things that haven't healed properly from her ordeal in June.

So its a kinda scary thing, after what happened last time. I know how *freak* that accident was then, but I just ask you pray for guidance and direction for the surgeons, and that Mum feels the awesome power of God and His comfort and angels around her as she goes into hospital today.

Would also love you to consider my Dad especially and my family in your prayers. Dad was very stressed out last time, and I can only imagine how he must be feeling deep down this time (although he hasn't let anything on to Mum, which is probably good)... probably a little scared... so I just ask for God's angels to wrap their arms around him too, and for him to feel peace.

And my little sis is home now. She was away for everything that happened last time.. so I just ask for prayers for her too...

Babies everywhere!

For a moment there, I thought I was going to have this pregnancy to myself. By to myself, I mean, not sharing it with any friends - with Eli, I was sharing my pregnancy (down to a few weeks) with my friends Erica and Karen. So far now, I have two friends due in Jan and Feb, but still that's the majority of my pregnancy to myself.... however yesterday at church, some other friends announced that they are expecting #5, she is due 19 July, so there's 3 weeks difference....

And this morning my good friend Hayley, whom I've been friends with from uni for the last 5 years told me her and her boyf are expecting #1.... she is due around the 29 July... (this is me and Hails)

So it seems I will be pregnant with two good friends. A good thing though coz we can share stories etc and have little babies at the same time too. Thankfully also, my baby is due first again, yes... no way I want to be heavily pregnant, uncomfortable etc when close friends 'get rid' of their load! heehee

So congrats to Melinda and Hayley. They don't read my blog, I don't think, but anyways!

P.S. Was so great to see my sister yesterday, but strangely enough, having her thre just fel so normal that it didn't seem like she's been gone for 9 or 10 months... Roast was good too... yummm...

Have a fantastic day!
Today I'm having lunch at the shops with my Mum and both sisters, this will be something we have not done in a realllllly long time, so will be great! And I might do a spot of Christmas shopping if I can.

So excited!!

As I type, my sister is now BACK IN THE COUNTRY! Can't WAIT to see her today! It's been 10 long months without seeing my baby sister, and she will get to meet her little nephew today too!

No doubt she'll have terrible jetlag (30 hours on a plane, yuck!) so I think Mum's gonna let her sleep a few hours this morning, then we are going over this arvo to see her! Apparently I heard Mum is making roast tonight, and as yet, we haven't been invited to stay for dinner, but that's gonna change! How rude! I'll giver her a call when they get home from airport... I don't mind making vegies or what-have-you to accompany... mmmm... roast....

So stay tuned for some photos of my wonderful sister and us, soon.

In other little news tid-bits, I got a couple of new clothes yesterday - yaya, sooo needed. Had a looky at the maternity stuff, but seeing as I'm not 'showing' yet (well no more than my already fat gut, hehe) I just look terribly fat in them, so will wait till the new year when showing a little... But I got one top that is super long (in the 'tunic' type style that's popular, so will be able to wear that in my pregnancy anyway, and a cute black dress, for wearing to Xmas party, Elijah's dedication and maybe Christmas day too... and its got room for belly to grow too...

We put up the gate and staircase barriers yesterday, so we're all ready for Eli to crawl now - he won't fall down the stairs! Its not overly pretty, with masonite and big ugly clamps at the top, but it was the cheapest option and with only 4 weeks till Xmas (and not much of the shopping done) we need to save as much $$ as we can... maybe we'll find another option in Jan, or just put up with it!

Greg and I watched 'Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Mans' Chest' last night... what is with that ending? Obviously they're making the next one! Still good flick though - I really enjoy these ones, funny, good eye candy and some adventure too!

So, off to church today. Greg now has every Sunday off work, so that is so great! He's been on the sound desk the last 2 weeks, so will be good to get to sit with him and friends today.

Thought I better do a 'thankful' list, it's been a while.. today I'm thankful for:

1. My sister coming home!!
2. Family
3. Greg having Sundays off - yay!
4. That I'm mostly over morning sickness
5. Going to church to worship my God - love Sundays!

Have a great day all xxx

Jaidyn's birthday

Well, I really meant to post this on Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday, you get the picture. So now my boy is 6! I can hardly believe it. Where did 6 years go? How did he get SO BIG? Where did my baby go? I guess a Mummy's gotta let em grow up some time, but I do still like to baby him *sometimes*... a Mum's priveledge?

So he had a super fun couple of days for his birthday and got spoilt rotten of course. His birthday was actually Monday, but on Sunday we went over to Mum and Dad's for an afternoon tea, with my Gran and Pop too, and Jaidyn's other grandparents. He got so many things. Yay! Keeping him busy this week and outta my hair!

(We've been playing Guess Who EVERY afternoon after school this week. Thankfully he's gone to Nana's for a sleepover so SHE can play it with him... good game though, loved it when I was a kid...)

We let him have one of our presents one day early, a really cool Pirates of the Carribean costume. At first he was a little unsure of it (silly boy!) and didn't want to try it on, but after he had a swim he put it on and boy did he look swarve! Just look at this little man:

I had all sorts of problems with the cake! Eek, I'm just NOT a cake mum! LOL... I made two (coz we were going to ajdust the hat to be a bandana instead) but when cutting it, it all crumbled. So I chucked a little tantrum, threw the cake (onto the bench) and called Greg in tears. So wonderful DH came to the rescue and said he would do the cake. Now really it was only the whole cutting it bit that I dread, can't do, hate! So Greg managed to cut the circle cake into a pirate hat and head, and he also iced it too, then I helped with the lolly decorations - easy bit! We were actually quite happy with how it came out... this is as good as they get in this household!

On Monday, Jai got the rest of his presents from us (an outfit and book, how boring, lol) and from Greg's family. Then off to school he went, taking some of his goodies to show of course!

I played the wonderful Mum and made cupcakes for all his classmates and took them in just before they all went home, so I felt so proud of my little man (and me!) then.... had no dramas with the cupcakes - I CAN do cupcakes.... they were just iced with one smarty on each though, easy.

So yep, my little boy is now 6, growing up faster and faster! Love you darling!!

6 months old...

My darling little Eli,

You are now 6 months old. Oh my! Where has that 6 months gone? It seems like only a few weeks ago that we brought you home from hospital, a tiny little thing so dependent on us for everything. But now you are growing more and more each day, learning new things all the time and amazing us with your cuteness every day.

The last month has brought so many new experiences into your life. You seem to have grown and developed so much since you were 5 months old.

Probably the biggest milestone you are so close to now is crawling. At 6 months! Oh my, do I have my work cut out for me now! You don't quite have the hang of moving your arms and legs yet (thank goodness!), but are up on all fours and starting to 'rock' a little. At first, you found you could get up on your toes, in this cute little pose that I think looks like some pilates move! Your cute little bottom stuck up in the air... then you found how to get from your toes to your knees. And you do this a lot now. I love to just watch you - you reach for your little toys, and I can just imagine you're wanting so much to get there, but just can't figure out how! I am so proud to see you get from your tummy to all-fours. How clever you are! I know it will only be a matter of a week or so now and you'll be getting around the house, so Daddy and I are looking into getting the stairs barricaded with a gate or maybe popping you in a nice big playpen.

You love to talk and your gorgeous little high-pitched squeals of delight and excitement can be heard all over the house (and probably the neighbours house too!). In the last week or so, you've started what actually sounds more like a word... you say "Ahh-b" and the 'b' bit you stick your tongue out like blowing a raspberry. So cute! Daddy caught it on video on his phone and we love to watch it over and over.

You are particularly vocal with your brother Jaidyn. You two get on so well. He loves to talk to you, read to you, tell you about his toys, watch movies with you (you look at the TV a little!), and especially blow raspberries on your belly, which you think is just the funniest thing! One of your favourite times of the day is when we go to pick up Jaidyn from school. When I say "let's go pick up Jai", I am sure you are knowing what I'm saying, or just that you know the name 'Jai' now. He gets the biggest smile and excited little kick from you when he gets in the car.

You also love it when Daddy gets home from work. Sometimes he is rather late, so you don't get to see him before you go to bed, but most nights you are still awake. Its so special for me to watch. You are often getting whingy come 6.30pm but when Daddy walks in the door, your face lights up. And when he picks you up, you are happy again. You often like to have a little chat to him too, telling him about our day no doubt. I know it makes Daddy feel very special too.

Your little giggle would have to be the most precious sound. You are now starting to really get the hang of peek-a-boo too, and you love to be the one who comes out of hiding! Mummy throws your little blankie over your head and says "Where's Eli?" and your little hands pull it down so you can see me - "There you are!"... you kick and flail your arms around and smile and sometimes laugh too. You are also very ticklish and giggle and giggle when we tickle your little tummy.

You are still sleeping for at least 30 minutes every 3-hour feeding cycle. I don't know if this is still normal at 6 months, but you still get sleepy and have a little nap. And I feel blessed. You probably have one or two 'good' 1-1.5 hour naps too, and at the moment I'm trying to get a little sleep in there too if I can - usually after lunch time. You sleep soundly all through the night. I usually have to get up and move you and give you back your dummy once or twice in the early morning as you are moving around so much now and often get yourself in weird and seemingly uncomfortable positions in bed, plus I like to put your sheet back over you.

You love your food. At the moment, you are having a morning bottle, then after your sleep you have a bowl of rice cereal mixed with fruit. Often you'll still want more so you'll have the rest of the fruit tin too. We haven't introduced anything for lunch yet, apart form the bottles which you still have every 3 hours or so, but sometimes you'll chew on a rusk stick. For dinner you have a plate of yummy home-cooked vegies, usually followed by a tin of fruit or custard. Your little belly sticks out so much after that. So cute! A fat little pookoo. You often eye off our food when we're eating and have at times tried to grab Daddy's beer too!

You are still a dummy boy. Although you're not obsessed with it, you do like to have it to calm you down, and when you go to sleep, even if you often spit it out when you're asleep. Your thumb creeps into your mouth sometimes too, but its more of a thing to chew on when you're happy. Your hand doesn't curl into a fist like most thumb-suckers, but is splayed with just your thumb in your mouth, chewing and sucking away. Nana is not impressed when she sees it though, and she says, "no grandson of mine is going to suck his thumb" in her funny Nana, not-serious voice.

Exciting news in our house this month. We have found out we're having another baby! You are going to be a big brother! Which is quite a strange thing to think, when you are just a baby yourself. You will be just over one year old when your baby sister or brother arrives. So you better promise to be a good boy for Mummy coz I might just go a little crazy!

You are definitely a huge part of this family and this household now. Its bizarre to think what life was like before you - a little quieter maybe, a few less grey hairs too no doubt... but we love you so much my darling and that love only grows deeper every day. I pray that God continues to bless this little family, and that His plans for you are great my little Elijah. Afterall, you do have quite a biblical name to live up to. But I don't doubt at all that you'll do great things for His Kingdom.

All my love, Mummy xxx

I hate morning sickness!

Blah! That's how I'm feeling. Haven't thrown up, so you may think I have it *easy*. But I get yucky headaches that just won't go away! And it makes them worse when I have two kids to run after (of which the older is very *loud*), plus a husband to cook for, and a house that needs to be cleaned every now and then. Yuck. Poo. Poo. Poo.

In other news, my little man is starting to try crawling I think! He's getting up on his toes now, and he seems to enjoy doing this, and thinks he's pretty clever.

Yuck, crawling. That means I have to watch him ever more closely, blergh. AND we need to get our butt into gear and get the gate for the stairs and some sort of barrier so he doesn't fall down from the space between the railings.

And these ones, just coz he's cute!

We have a due date!

And its 1st July 2007. Which makes me 6 weeks, 5 days along. I will be 7 weeks on Sunday! Cool! I am not really shocked with this coz it was about 6 weeks when I got the sickness with Elijah - so that's why I thought I was about that far along!

Super exciting!! OMG my bladder was soooooo killing me, I thought I was gonna wee all over the place! heehee... ended up having to do it interally anyway. Nice!! Not... nah, I'm not really bothered by these things....

I did get to see my little peanut! It had a head!! And that was about all you could make out - a little peanut with a head!! LOL.. I think somehow 'peanut' might stick as a nickname if I'm not careful! heehee

So yep, super exciting. We're having a baby on July 1. Now I wonder if this one will be early or late - early again I hope! I hate carrying over!

Oh Tam, thanks for the head-up about the pram. I will keep my eye out for a cheap price... even so, don't know if $500 is feasible even! But I guess to get a GREAT pram that you use over and over and over, and with the extra $1000 this year in mat payment, we'll have a bit to play around with, coz we won't have to buy a lot else!!

Ciao girls!!

Scan today!!

So excited. In about and hour and a half, I will get to see my baby for the first time, well my 'peanut' coz that's probably what it will look like this young. So I will find out how far along I am... I have this tiny little fear inside me though, that they won't find anything! And that I'm not pregnant... despite two positive tests and morning sickness... I'm sure there's a baby there, I just have that tiny fear inside me - NO! That is not from God!! He has blessed me with a child, a child that I get to meet (kinda) this morning. I've never had a scan this early before, so its really exciting. And I'm excited to see how close I am to Hayley and another friend who's having a baby next year too!! We could all be having babies together!!

So yep, hating this morning sickness though. Blah! Over it! The mornings have been rather pooey, which then means I'm in a lazy mood for most of the day, and NOTHING is getting done around here! Yesterday I was back to normal in the arvo/night, so I'm hoping its going away... Also thinking the headaches are from caffeine withdrawal as I haven't had any coffee for 3 days now - now going from 4 a day - none I'm sure will do my system in and its throwing headaches at me!

Well, better get ready! Can't wait! I hope Eli behaves himself...

So, we get to pick names again! Yay!

We have to organise what on earth we are going to do with rooms - will Eli go in with Jai? OR until bubs is about 5 months old and sleeping through soundly... what to do, what to do?

And, we have to find a pram again. I would *really love* one of the Phil & Ted E3s so that I can put both bubbas in, but don't think we'll be paying $650 so I'll have to pray and pray about it and keep my eyes open on Ebay for one!!

Anyway, off to finish getting dressed!
Have a great day all

5 Things I'm thankful for today:
1. Modern technology so I can actually SEE my baby today!
2. Ginger & lemongrass tea, yummm...
3. All the awesome girls who have supported me already in having these babies so close together
4. God, just in general coz He rocks!!
5. That He is with me every minute of every day, and that He wouldn't give me anything I couldn't handle :)

Bad blogger!

Gosh, I've been a slack one haven't I! Been almost 2 weeks since I blogged.

I did Kim Archer's gorgeous class this morning, and I was so please that I actually kept up and got it finished, minus my journalling... I will need to do that soon though, or it will get forgotten forever... here it is anyway... I chose 'Who would have imagined.. I would be the mother of boys... coming from a family of only girls, I never ever thought that I could maybe never have a daughter myself, and that I might just have boys! Good thing to journal about I think...

So thanks Kim for this class!
I had a ball!

In other news, uh... gosh, what have I been doing for the last 2 weeks...

A bit of a plug for my online class at Scrap of Faith. We are doing a Prayer Journal, but you could probably make it any kind of notebook, if you're not a Christian. We'll be using the yummy Junkitz papers, and altering a journal, complete with coverpages to make different sections in your journal... you could use it for an inspiration journal too I guess... Anyway, its on Saturday night 18th November @ 7.30pm AEDST, so if you're in Qld, that will be 6.30pm! Check out the website if you're interested... classes are $10 each, and $5 of this goes to charity, so you'd be helping our local community too! You can also purchase a class kit from Scrap Pile online store.

Did some cropping with Sal and Amy last Friday night and had a great night, even if I got not much done, and I was sooo tired.

Speaking of last Friday, did something else too..... involving a test with a 'two line' result.... yep I'm pregnant again! Its sinking and we're really excited again! But I'll surely have my hands full with two little babies - about 13 months apart I reckon... I'm off for a scan to work out my dates on Friday, and really looking forward to seeing 'my baby' even though it won't look like much this young. I'm thinking I'm betwen 4-6 weeks along, as I got sick about that time last time with Eli. So yep, Ive been trying totake it easy, get lots of rest, and eating lotsof all things ginger!

Take care all xxx

New pics - thanks Rozzy!

We had a wonderful weekend down the coast at Roz and Clints last weekend. And Rozzy took some really good photos (and some really bad, but thats the subject not the photographer!) of Greg and I, so I thought I'd just share some of my favourites. Will have to get some of these printed for round the house and to scrap!

Jesus Vs Santa

The topic of Santa Claus has been on my heart the last few days, and I've asked a lot of 'my girls' about it - where Santa fits into their home and their Christmas. There are varying views, and well I'm still not sure where he fits into our house, but I know the main point is the MAIN REASON of Christmas is celebrating the birth of Jesus, the greatest gift EVER given - a saviour and king to this world by the ultimate Father.

So here's a little 'comparison' one of the girls posted on SOF, and I thought it was great!

WHY JESUS IS BETTER THAN SANTA...

Santa lives at the North Pole...JESUS lives everywhere!

Santa rides in a sleigh... JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water!

Santa comes but once a year...JESUS is an ever present help!

Santa fills your stockings with goodies...JESUS supplies all your needs!

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited...JESUS stands at your door and knocks-and then enters your heart when invited!

You have to stand in line to see Santa...JESUS is as close as the mention of his name!

Santa lets you sit on his lap...JESUS lets you rest in his arm!

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "hello little boy or girl, what's your name?... JESUS knew our name before we did! not only does he know our name, He knows our address too, He knows our history and our future, and he even knows how many hairs are on our head!

Santa has a belly like a bowl of jelly...JESUS has a heart full of love!

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO... JESUS says, "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you!"

Santa's little helpers make toys...JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions!

Santa may make you chuckle but...JESUS became our gift, and died on a tree!

It's obvious that there's no comparison! We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about! We need to put CHRIST back into Christmas! Yes JESUS is better!!!! He is even better than Santa Claus.

5 Things I'm thankful for today:
1. An AWESOME day with MY GOD, who breaks all chain of bondage and draws me ever close to Him and who wants to just spend time with me!
2. My beautiful friends at SOF, you girls mean so much to me!
3. Worship Music
4. That I did not go on the internet until my class tonight! Praise God for loosening those chains!!
5. Chinese take-away - just coz its yummy and I don't have to cook.

Happy Birthday...

to my beautiful friend Lusi!

I know you'd be having an absolute ball with your sis down in Melbourne (jealous!!). I just want to tell you how special you are to me, how much our friendship is core to my life now. It's only been 4 months, but I've hardly had a friend I can talk so deeply and real with mate. And I just love you so much! Can't wait till we meet in real life, so I can have a pic of you I here: ______

And call me when you get back ok! Want to hear all about your little holiday!

Back to Reality

Back to work for Greg. Back to school for Jaidyn. Back to reality and deadlines for me. Such is life huh! We had a wonderful relaxing week last week. Greg, Eli and I headed up to Caloundra to laze around the apartment and pool area for 3 nights. We haven't really been away (other than visiting family) since our honeymoon, so it was really nice, and needed. We spoilt ourselves by eating out lots, doing nothing and a little bit more of nothing!

Greg took Eli for his FIRST SWIM in a big pool. It was really exciting to watch, as a goo-gaa mummy, so I took quite a few piccies, with my zoom lens. At first he was a little unsure about it, but thankfully it was heated, so he enjoyed himself soon enough. Little kids get so cold in the water so quickly though don't they. His poor little blue lips when I got him out!! Here's a couple of the pics, I'll have to get in and scrap them soon!

How CUTE is my little man! Wish I got a few more close-ups of his face, but he was intent on looking into the water...

These couple are from when we were strolling through the park at the end of Hastings St at Noosa. Its bee na while since I went there, and I forgot how gorgeous that street is - so many trees! And this park out onto the beach was just lovely.

OnFriday we had a family photo shoot with my friend Deb. OMGosh how annoying was Jaidyn! He will not stay still, so I hope you were able to get some that you like Deb.... very frustrating for this mum that just wants a nice photo... we are trying to get Eli's attention for most of them - can't Jai just keep looking so when we do, we're ALL looking?? Maybe not...

Saturday we headed down to Rozzy and Clint's for the night. Was soooo great to catch up with you guys Rozzy - to see you for a bit longer than just a few hours in the company of so many others too. So thankyou for having us! We had a really great time hanging out with you and hope to have you guys up here to stay with us one weekend when Jeremy moves out. Rozzy took some pics of Greg and I and Greg took some of Roz and I - it was waaaayyy windy so not great conditions, so there aren't many good ones, but I'll upload some of those next time.

So back to real life now. Got lots and lots to do, as it always seems I do. don't know how I'd cope if I had to work too... I don't really cope that well as it is. I know this computer is a real huge part of that problem, and one the I really need to stand up straight and tackle head on. Absolutel time waster. And the Devil has that hold on me right now. Gotta give it all to God I guess.

5 things I'm thankful for today:
1. My To-Do list on SOF which *helps* me organise my time a bit better and get things done.
2. WORD bookstore. Had a nice little shop there yesterday.
3. God's grace, faithfulness and forgiveness. No matter how many times I stuff up on the same thing, He is there with open arms.
4.That my Mum is getting much better each and every day.
5. my gorgeous sisters, who are both overseas now. Love you BOTH!

And a Happy Birthday to my little sis Shanyn who turned 18 on Friday. Love you xxx

I'm updating Miss Russell!!

Gggrrrr.... I have just lost this all AGAIN!! Tried to insert a link with the icon above, and then everytime I clicked on ANYTHING it brought up the link window again - blogger is peeeeeving me off right now!!

OK, so yep, thought I'd take advantage of morning hours to update, just like you said Ali! Not sure what I'll have time to do before the little one wakes (other one is in front of the TV right now) but I'll go for some LOs first.

These are two I've done for the SAM Scrap52 challenge WITH Elsie Flannigan. Yep, she's actually popping in from time to time, commenting on LOs maybe, and I guess helping to judge at the end of the 6 months. I'm not sure how I'll go with it, as its a big committment of 2 layouts each and every week, but we'll see, I'mm give it a whirl.

Challenge #1 was to use the combo of blue, orange and brown. Here's my attempt:

Challenge #2 was to use journalling strips to include a quote on our LO. I found on on 2peas just in time!! I really like this LO actually - loving these Crate papers - I think blue, green and white is my fave colour combo at the moment (and esp good with two boys!)

And I've just had a little play in PS with making a photo gathering - thanks Jas... and I *think* I may have got it... needs a lot more fine-tuning - measurements to make them fit better, but that's ok, I'll do that when I have more time... now I just hope it will upload here....

This is a little handbag album I made for my Mum:

And one almost-the-same for my sisters 18th b'day which was yesterday! Happy B'day Shanny! Love you, and miss you loooottttssssss!!!!!

Well that's all taken me a couple of hours, so I'll sign off now. Gotta get ready to go the Rozzy's for the night tonight. Really looking forward to seeing you girl!!

Will update with some pics from our mini-holiday when I get back!

A beautiful afternoon

Aren't weddings just gorgeous!

I went to my school friend Erinna's wedding yesterday (or Saturday, not sure if this post will date as Sunday or Wednesday??). Just beautiful. And its all that more special when you've known each other a long time - we've been friends for about 10 years I think, since grade 9 in highschool, and our group of 7 girls have kept in contact ever since.

Erinna made a BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING bride, and they are such a beautiful couple. Erinna had her eye on this boy in grade 8 in school, and their paths crossed again in uni and they've been together ever since - 5 years.

Anyway, here are some pics from the day. I really must get around to scrapping these, what a special day!

*Even if we were late and missed her walking down the aisle... I was there *just* in time to compose myself before I had to do a reading...

Yep, so the 7 of us have been friends for at least 10 years (some of them even went to primary school together). We probably see each other every few months, and I think this may even be one of the last times we're all together, as the blondie (Katrina) is heading for a working holiday in UK in Dec, and I think Mel (tall, far left) will follow shortly after... so who knows when we all get together again...

Got these two *gorgeous* ones of Greg and I... I love em... well they are good of me anyways, that's what matters, right?? hee hee

Well I *was* going to put up some more pics, but it appears that blogger doesn't want to let me (again!!)

So anyways, other things....

YES!! School is back!! Waaaahhooooooo! Some time to catch up, recollect my thought and find my sanity (I'm sure its around here somewhere!). I even almost got the whole house tidy today..... well maybe tomorrow hey..?

Greg is on a week and a half's holidays as of Thursday (well, by now that's tomorrow!!). And YAY, we are going away up the Sunshine Coast for 3 nights next week!!! NIIIIIIIICEEEEE.... and no Jaidyn too (he has to go to school so will stay with his grandparents)... we both really need the break, to get out of the house, and well hopefully it will just be super relaxing!! (Of course, we'll be taking the baby though, but still nice :)

Then, we're all going to stay down the coast with Roz and Clint next weekend (21/22) - can't WAIT to catch up with my dear girl and spend some quality time with her... just relaxing again (oh, and Rozzy, I need an eyebrow wax, can you fit me in?? hehe). I think Greg and I might take Jaidyn to play at King Tut's mini golf on the way down though - what fun - he'll just love it there with its themed courses.... cool stuff..

Hmmm, what else... dunno, but I tell ya, I've been busy!

Oh, caught up with my gorgeous friend Roxy today, whom I have also known for 10 years since early higschool.... had a lovely catch-up - couldn't believe its been 5 months since I saw her last! Of course she thought my little man was to die for gorgeous!

I picked up my sewing machine yesterday. A friend from our old church is moving to USA with her family so she offered her machine to me. Its a fairly old one, and I don't know how to use it or fix it or what-have-you to save my life, so I better start learning soon... I want to uuuuuse it!!

Well, that's enough of my ramlings for now I guess. Will fill in again possibly after we get back from our trip - maybe before if I have anything interesting to say!

God Bless, Nat

5 things that made me smile today:

1. A happy smile as soon as I walked into Eli's room this morning :)

2. A phone message from my beautiful friend Lusi - sorry missed your call gorgeous!

3. Getting my 'to do' list mostly all done

4. A yummo lasagne for dinner - home-made by me too!

5. Boys in bed - peace and quiet....

Bits and pieces

Just gonna do the random today...

* Got a new *toy* today. Have been wanting an 'elliptical' for a few months now, to get rid of some of this flab and fit in better with the unpredictable timetable of a baby and school age child! I looked on ebay a couple of times, most went for about $150. I saw this one in the KMart catalogue this morning - for $100!! - and went down and got it - yay! It will most probably be part of my Christmas present though... its not as smooth and flashy as the ones in the gyms, but it will do quite fine for me!! Can't wait for my workout tomorrow morning!!

* Have had a hectic couple of weeks over the school holidays! Feel like I've done nothing at all really - but I guess the house and such can wait till next week when Jai's back at school - its important to spend time with him hey. We have been to the movies (Barnyard - good stuff!), to a big cool park in Chermside for a picnic, to visit Sal and her kids, today he went to the Museum with his Grandma and tomorrow we're going to Maccas for lunch with an old friend of mine and then Jai is off to my Mum and Dads for the weekend.

* Am going to my girlfriend Erinna's wedding on Saturday. We've been friends for about 10 years now I think - since about grade 9 or 10 in highschool. She is the only other one of the school friends that will be married - they are slowly catching up with me hey!! Still a *bit* ahead though with a husband AND two kids :) Should be a nice evening. I'm spewing though coz I *had* my outfit all sorted out, then my black skirt has torn, so I don't really know what do wear now. My white skirt (had for a year, and worn a LOT) might have to do though, coz I even went shopping today and couldn't find anything that looked half decent on my fat guts!! I'm just a bit *scared* coz there will be heaps of ppl from school there (I get really nervous looking fat in front of them, IYKWIM) and I have to do a reading too... so that means going up in front of everyone. I'm really peeved about that skirt... don't really have the time to take it back to Toombul tomorrow either - maybe I should *make* the time...

Well, I'm sure thre were other things to talk about, but I'll have to leave it for next time, as I'm meant to be doing up my class instruction sheets.

Take care, Nat

My 5 things:
1. The blessing of finances so I can buy things I desire rather than *need*
2. The girls at SOF - just love that I can be so open with you all!
3. That school starts back next week ... heehee....
4. But also for time to do cool things with Jaidyn and as a family
5. That Greg is going to be on holidays in a week :)

Wow, can you believe its October already! Goodness, the year is almost over and OMGosh, only 2.5 months till Christmas!! Yikes!

Anyway, I just thought I would do a little plug for me and for the Scrap of Faith site..
(and OMGosh I just realised there is an icon in blogger for inserting links - what a dill I am!)

These are the sneak peeks for my classes for October.

This month we're focussing on PSALM 23, one of the most popular psalms in the Bible. If you don't know which one I'm talking about - go find a bible and look... heehee... nah... 'the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want'....

This is the LAYOUT for the month:
Techniques used include: hidden journalling, journalling strips, sewing, hand journalling, a couple of french knots and making ribbon hinges.

And this is the BTP for the month:
Its a little coaster set made from thick chipboard, a square tin and your regular scrap supplies. Techniques include a bit of inking and painting, lots of ribbons, combining pps and some hand-journalling too.

(I HAD wanted to put BOTH of my pics for each up, but blogger is being a big poo and won't let me upload any more pics - has been like this all day! gggrrr.....)

Anyway, classes are $10 each and $5 of that goes to charity. This month we are supporting the Pregnancy Problem Centre. So come and join in and support a great organisation!

I had other stuff to say too, but I've been spending all my time trying to upload those pics, so now I can't really be bothered!!

Seeya!

Love you Sis!!

Here's a KISS just for my little sis in Holland!

Heehee.... Love love love you Shanny! Thankyou so so much for commenting on my blog, it means so much to me! Miss you so much and can't wait till you're back, though I'm sure you'll be a different woman hey!

Have you guys ever looked back though YOUR OWN archives? After reading that my sis had been looking through all my previous posts, I went and had a quick squizzy through them too. What a gem of an experience! So many things, thoughts, feelings we forget as the days pass, but to have them all written down, raw, real at that time, is so priceless. I too easily don't get to scrap all those moments I so want to at the time, but to have them all here on the web, for me to go through one at a time when I want to scrap, is so precious. I can just go back, cut and paste the journalling and the experience will be as real in my LOs as it was then. That is so special! Jow just to find the time to go back and scrap them all!

Have a super day all.
What do you have planned for the weekend?

N xx

My 5 things today:
1. My blog and being able to record things for future reference and reflection.
2. My beautiful sister over in Holland. I miss you terribly Shanny and really can't wait to have you back to us - only a few more months hey girl! (bum, I'm going to miss your 18th too)
3. My To-Do List and accountability on the SOF forum
4. A bueatiful sunshiney day!
5. Morning coffee

About time I know...

Gosh I've been so flat-out the last couple of weeks. Deadlines, deadlines, deadlines. Meetings, meetings, meetings. Pheeewwww... enough to make my head spin! But the last meeting was over today (for a little while anyway) and I have some time to update my blog *properly*.

Firstly, I now have a 4 month old baby! Can you believe it, the time has gone by so darn fast! I can't beleive he's 4 months old already. I took some shots of him the other day and oh.... so so sooooo cute..... I just want to eat him all up!! Check out this cheeky little monkey:

He's now trying to roll over! Cheeky monkey...

Doesn't time just FLY by wit ha little one. You've gotta watch every little moment or you'll miss something!

What else? I have got a new bookmark. Not just *any* bookmark, but my 5kgs achievement bookmark from Weight Watchers, meaning, yes, I've lost my first 5kgs! I'm really excited about that. WW is actually working for me! I can actually do this!

Our church has been participating in a short seminar taught by a man named Stuart Gramenz, on 'How to heal the sick through the power of Jesus Christ'. Awesome awesome powerful powerful stuff! Unfortunately I missed the first two meetings - and am kicking myself for it now, but I went along Sunday night, which was #3 of 4. He is actually equipping US as christians to use the healing power of Christ, not just watching big evangelists like Benny Hinn do it. It is a privilegdge of Christ that all christians have the authority to do - praise God! Week 4 is going to be a night of healing, puuting all we've learnt into practice (good thing I bought the CDs to go back over what I missed). It's going to be awesome, a night of true healing and seeing the signs and wonders of my mighty God! Can't wait! I'm really praying that my Mum will come along. I have asked her, and I guess have to leave it up to God to bring her now.

Well, not really much else to mention. Been so long since I updated, I'm sure more has happened... oh well, next time if I remember. Just wanted to really get those pics of my handsome little man up there!

Ciao!

Oh, my 5 things to be thankful for today are:
1. The healing power of Jesus Christ.
2. My pastors Craig and Robyn - such awesome people of God!!
3. Heidi Swapp chipboard alphas! I have a new stash and its just sooo yummy!!
4. All the SOF girls - love yas!
5. Greg is having holidays in a couple of weeks, yay!

Quick update

Praise God!! That last two nights, Elijah has slept through! Yes!! I know its only early days and could be a fluke, but I'm believing God for my sleep back! I feel really refreshed today as I got to sleep from 10-6. The bottle is working wonders!

And we're all going to church today. Gosh I need it after skipping twice.

And I have new clothes to wear - yeeha!

And we're having a church lunch as its one of the pastors kid's 18th!

Have a fantastic Sunday all!

Another week down...

... and yes I've been a lazy blogger. It comes for me in waves... some weeks I'll blog lots and others I just get caught up in something else or there's not much interesting happening.

This week I've been caught up in the Scrap of Faith forums. What a wonderful bunch of girls, all sharing our faith and the love of Jesus. Almost every post gives me the warm fuzzies. These girls are the best bunch and I love you all to bits!!

I did my first SOF class on Tuesday night. I'm glad it was an online class and the girls had instructions to follow rather than me as that night I was having a shocker with the baby and with time management!! Eli was whingy all through 'rush hour' and we finally got dinner on the table at about 7.20pm - needless to say I was still eating when I was saying hello in class at 7.30! But what an awesome forgiving bunch of girls - they gave me an extra 10 mins to fix myself up and it went off all good. The good thing about online classes hey - I even had baby on boob through some of it, and that still works!! Still haven't seen any of the layouts though girls - hope you get to finish them off this weekend!!

This week also marked a change in things with my little man. We decided finally, after a few weeks of fussing and waking for night feeds again, to complement with a bottle of formula at night for Elijah. It was really special for Greg too coz now he gets to feed the little man and have that special bonding time. Eli took to the bottle really well. At first he made a few funny looks, but then gulped it all down, and he's had almost a full 'small' bottle (150ml) on top of the boob each night. At the moment he's still waking at 4am, but I think it might be a 'body clock' problem, so I'm tring to let him cry himself back to sleep. So far it hasn't worked, but we've been letting him cry for a while - 10-20 mins, then I've bit the bullet and fed him. Had a mini breakthrough last night though and he woke at 5.45am instead for his feed. So maybe we'll just see slow progress towards sleeping through again! Praying for it!! I'd love a full night's sleep again!!

Hmm... what else... oh I did a class at my LSS on Thursday. It was great to scrap with some others and actually get something done coz I didn't have to think about it - classes are good in that way!! We made a cute little handbag-shaped accordion album. Mine is not finished yet, and I haven't decided what photos to use yet, but I'm going to give it to my Mum, so I did it in yummy white, lime green and blue tones as her lounge has a yummy lime green wall, and those colours will go wel with photos of my boys.... it will be a 'grandma's brag book'... I've been meaning to do something for her since she's been in hspital but never quite got around to it or had the perfect idea, so I'm really pleased with this one... I also want to make templates before I fut it all back together so I can reproduce it for myself!!

Had TWO chats with my girl Lusi yesterday/last night. Love you girl and love your chats. Always a humbling, blessed and inspiring experience chatting to you!!

Enjoying a lazy weekend - love em! Greg's got the weekend off and we don't really have a whole lot planned. Bacon and eggs for brekkie, a bit of scrapping, bit of a video maybe, Jaidyn is doing some *arrr* pirate crafts..... lovely day today!!

Have a great weekend!

My 5 things to be thankful for today are:
1. Rainy weekend
2. Hubby's weekend off and family time
3. Internet resources for kids!
4. Webcams so that our family can see our gorgeous little man
5. The SOF community and the love that Christ shows through all of us!

Fun Fun and sick little boys...

Well, I had a BALL yesterday at the Brissy Crop organised by Chris Millar. Thanks Chris for all your hard work!! It was great to see some girls I haven't in a while - Rozzy, Chris, Michelle, Ruthy and Diana, and to meet some new friends too - Karen, Sarah, Jo and Katrina ... and Sal, you're always a hoot girl!!

Sal and I - not crazy in the slightest...

The Scrap of Faith girls - Sal, Roz, Karen, Ruthy, myself and Diana

Karen and I
* not a good pic but I'm still fiddling with the camera and we left it til dark to take them all...

I hardly did ANY scrapping as usual... maybe I talk a *little* too much, hehe... and I was sitting next to Roz so I just drooled and drooled over her work and her yummy scrap tote! hehe... I did finish off a couple of pages on the sewing machine though. Tis a dark day here today so will have to photograph layouts later...

I even won two prizes yay! Won one round of 'heads and tails' and I think a lucky door prize too which was all the instructions to make Michelle Grant's yummy yummy doodling journal... excited to get a start on that... I even had a go at some of her doodles during the day and was surprised that they actually looked good! Yes, I can doodle too it seems!

My little man Elijah has been sick the last couple of days, but despite that was soooooo good yesterday at the crop. He had a few little whingly moments, but all in all, what an angel. Rozzy took some cute piccies of him too, so you'll have to email me them R!!

Actually both my boys are sick. However Eli is much easier to handle!! Jaidyn is having a right cranky little day today. Two sick cranky boys this morning and there was no way I was tackling getting out of the house again, so we skipped church again this week. I do hate missing it, but Eli really just needs to stay home and be able to sleep in his own bed today. And hopefully they'll both be well next week!

Ahh, can't remember what else I've done this week... so yeah! That will have to do today! Hope you're all having a nice Sunday... its raining here so I would like to get some scrapping done this arvo if the cranky sick boys will let me!

N xx

5 things I'm grateful for today:
1. My beautiful friends Roz, Sal and Karen
2. Meeting Sarah yesterday - you rock and we'll have to scrap again soon!
3. Rainy Sundays
4. Being blessed with such an angel baby - even when he's sick!
5. The love of Christ - for no particular reason other than how could I live without it!!
